PROGRAM MISSION

The mission of the MS/CP program is to provide competent dietetics practitioners to meet the needs of the citizens of Colorado and the nation.


PROGRAM GOALS, OBJECTIVES AND LEARNING OUTCOMES:
  • To provide graduate study to advance the educational and intellectual development of individuals beyond the B.S. level, to produce new knowledge through research and intellectual inquiry and to apply knowledge to the solution of problems.
  • To provide structured learning experiences to develop student competence prior to entering supervised practice.
  • To prepare students to be competent Registered Dietitians. The program will maintain a 90% or better first time pass rate on the National Registration Examination for Dietitians.
  • Students trained at the M.S. level will be prepared to enter careers at a higher level of responsibility and 90% of students will be in positions at the advanced level within 2 years of completion of the MS/Internship and registration examination.
